Flights suspended from countries with new coronavirus variants
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has suspended all flights carrying Vietnamese citizens home from countries and territories which has reported the new variant of SARS-CoV-2.

Mr. Phuc demanded that land and sea borders be monitored to block any illegal immigration. Vietnam will closely monitor all persons entering Vietnam, who must undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine. Vietnamese citizens abroad who wish to return to Vietnam will be thoroughly screened. Tracing, zoning, and other necessary measures will be taken immediately if a COVID-19 case is detected.
