(VOVworld) – The US’s Forbes magazine has named northern Vietnam as world top budget travel destination.

The magazine said in a recent report that the region north of Hanoi along the Chinese border often gets overlooked by travelers who can find private accommodation for 10-15 USD or dorm beds for 5 USD a night on average. Food costs no more than 2 USD a dish.
Northern Vietnam is followed by the capital city Bishkek of Kyrgyzstan and Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.
