In the first four months of this year, the number of foreign tourists to Vietnam reached over 192,000, up 185% from the same period last year. Of the total, 88.6 percent came by air, increasing close to four times from 2021. In this reviewed period, revenue from lodging, food, and transport services grew drastically because of major holidays in April in addition to tourism reopening.
SEA Games 31 will be held in Hanoi and neighboring localities in May. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is ramping up its campaigns to promote Vietnam to a wider audience.
