(VOVWORLD) - Many leaders from foreign countries have sent their condolences to Vietnam over the death of President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang.
First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Raul Castro sent a message of sympathy to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, expressing his grief upon hearing about President Quang’s passing away. The Cuban leader said in his telegram that Comrade Quang was a close friend of Cuba and a person who promoted the historical relationship of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, in his condolences addressed to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, called President Tran Dai Quang a great and admirable leader of the Vietnamese people, and a great friend of Cambodia. He offered his deepest sympathy to the Vietnamese Government and people for this loss.
Vice President of China Wang Kishan has sent condolence to Acting President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh over the death of the Vietnamese President.
The Brazilian Foreign Ministry issued a press release saying that as a State leader since 2016, President Tran Dai Quang walked on a meaningful path towards the development of Vietnam - an important partner of Brazil in Southeast Asia, as well as protection of multilateralism, settlement of disputes by peaceful means and facilitation of dialogues among nations.
