(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Union of Friendship Associations held a meeting in Hanoi to praise international non governmental organizations’ donations. Despite flagging world economic development, non governmental organizations donations to Vietnam were 300 million dollars.


The funding was allocated to social, healthcare, educational and environmental programs. The Vietnam Union of Friendship Associations will promote communications to establish better links between donors and provinces while looking for more relevant direction to steer non governmental aids into Vietnam’s socioeconomic development. 33 organizations and one individual were granted certificates of merit in recognition of their contribution to poverty reduction during the review meeting on Friday.
