(VOVworld)-Egypt and several Western states urged their nationals to leave Libya amid spiraling violence after two weeks of fighting left 150 people dead in Tripoli and Benghazi.
Cairo has called on its citizens to immediately leave Tripoli and Benghazi, find a safer place in Libya or move to border with Tunisia. The violence prompted the US, Britain, France, Germany and the Netherlands to urge their citizens to leave as soon as possible, after the British embassy convoy was hit in the West of Tripoli, but no casualty was reported. Earlier, Belgium, Malta, Spain and Turkey also urged their nationals to leave. The United Nations also pulled its diplomatic staff out of Libya.
