(VOVworld) – French President Francois Hollande announced Wednesday 800 additional posts in the Defense Ministry to beef up security against terror risks. At a national defense and security council, Hollande said he will boost security units, mainly for cyber defense services.

Without giving exact figures on the government's new spending to bolster security, the French President said he will increase the defense ministry's resources to finance the operating costs and equipment associated with the additional staff. Despite planned defense job cuts for the 2015-2019 period  France will keep 9,000 military and security personnel to support its counter-terrorism mission
