France, Germany urge full ceasefire in Ukraine
(VOVWORLD) - The French President and German Chancellor in a joint statament on Friday called for a solid, full, and permanent ceasefire in Ukraine's eastern region.

President Emmanuel Macron and Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed the latest ceasefire announcement by representatives from Ukraine, Russia and the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE) that a fresh ceasefire would start Saturday morning.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced the end of martial law in Ukraine's border regions, which was introduced last month.
