France-Vietnam relationship expected to reach climax

(VOVWORLD) - The French Communist Party hopes that the France-Vietnam relationship will reach its highest level possible, said Fabien Roussel, the Party’s National Secretary, ahead of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to France from Wednesday to Friday. Prime Minister Chinh will meet with National Secretary Roussel during his three-day stay.
Roussel told VOV, “We want to maintain our close bond and lift the France-Vietnam strategic partnership to the highest level. Vietnam is always on France’s priority list. We pledge everything we can do to help Vietnam obtain more doses of COVID-19 vaccine. When the first pandemic wave hit and France fell short of medical supplies, Vietnam lent us a helping hand. I hope the solidarity and cooperation between the two countries will be there forever.”
According to Roussel, the French Communist Party supports Vietnam’s COVID-19 efforts. France has worked with drugmaker Sanofi to deliver vaccines to Vietnam.
