According to French newspapers Le Monde and Les Echos, a post-Brexit EU has witnessed a decrease of 66 million inhabitants and 15% of GDP. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the UK will become an economic competitor on the EU’s own doorstep after Brexit. The only EU country with a permanent seat and a veto right in the UN Security is France.

The French media said Brexit may strengthen the Eurozone. Italy’s former Prime Minister Enrico Letta said post-Brexit Eurozone will represent 85% of the EU’s GDP or higher as Croatia and Bulgaria are seeking to join the Eurozone.
