Speaking at the Sorbonne University in Paris, Macron called for creating a task force made up of EU troops in 2020. He proposed a new tax on technology giants like Facebook and Apple, saying they are paying too little corporate tax on their businesses in Europe. He stressed the need to create a EU-wide asylum agency to deal with the migrant crisis. Other proposals included a European budget and Minister of Finance to manage the funds for joint investment activities.
