The visits are Macron’s first trip to southeastern Europe since the conflict began in Ukraine in late February.
It said President Macron has no plans to visit Ukraine but is supportive and will work to end the conflict there as quickly as possible.
President Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Sholz, and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Draghi are key European leaders who haven’t yet visited Ukraine.
The EC will convene a meeting later this week to discuss EU membership for Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia.
