Friendship program celebrates 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia diplomatic ties
(VOVWORLD) -A Friendship Exchange Program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Australia diplomatic ties was held on Friday by Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam-Australia Friendship Association and the Australian Embassy in Vietnam.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen affirmed that Hanoi attaches importance to cooperation with Australian localities. City leaders have meetings and seek opportunities to work with representatives of the Australian states, he said, adding that people-to-people diplomacy is contributing to enhancing the friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and Australia.
Andrew Goldzinowski, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, said that the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties is not only an opportunity for the two countries to look back on their achievements, but also look forward to the future.
