It is essential to meet the needs of housing, medical facilities, education, culture, sports, commerce, parks, green spaces, and other social infrastructure, they said while discussing the draft Law on Urban and Rural Planning during a meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said the meeting will discuss 12 draft laws and top priority is given to ensure their quality.
Mr. Man said: "It is crucial to focus on assessing the impact of proposed new regulations, controlling power to prevent and combat corruption and negativity, and ensuring no loopholes in building laws and policies, thereby preventing policy-related corruption and group interests and local interests across different sectors and fields."
High on the agenda were also the draft Law on Juvenile Justice, the draft revised Law on Trade Union, and the draft revised Law on Cultural Heritage.
