Fundraising concert for hepatitis patients
(VOVworld) - Hanoi Medical University has organized a concert under the theme of a community without hepatitis which aims to raise funds to fight hepatitis. The event attracted many celebrities and two leading experts on hepatitis, Dr. Robert Gish – an American citizen - and Vietnamese Prof. Bui Duy Tam who shared tips on how to prevent hepatitis.

The estimated 120,000 USD raised by the event will be spent on hepatitis B prevention. Associate Prof. Dao Van Long, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital said: "We will spend most of the money on providing college students and people from disadvantaged areas with hepatitis B virus vaccinations. We will also carry out mass media communication activities to raise people’s awareness about this disease. We will establish a club for hepatitis B patients".
