G20 commits to multilateral trade
(VOVWORLD) - The world’s biggest economies have reaffirmed a basic commitment to multilateral trade and a “rules-based international order”. They jointly released a communique on Saturday after the 2-day G20 Summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The leaders said international trade and investment are important engines of growth, productivity, innovation, job creation and development. While recognising the contribution that the WTO has made to that end, the communiqué said it is currently falling short of its objectives and it’s in need of reform. The joint document acknowledges the seriousness of the threat and the need for concerted effort to combat climate change.
