(VOVWORLD) - At the closing ceremony of the 17th G20 leaders’ summit on Wednesday, G20 leaders issued a joint statement pledging to take coordinated actions to advance an agenda for a strong, inclusive and resilient global recovery and sustainable development post-COVID-19.

According to the statement, the G20 will make public investments and structural reforms, promote private investments, and strengthen multilateral trade and global supply chains. The G20 will also protect macroeconomic and financial stability, promote food and energy security and market stability, and increase trade and investments for long-term food and energy needs.
The G20 will unlock further investments in low- and middle-income countries through a variety of innovative financing sources and instruments, including catalyzing private investment, to help achieve all Sustainable Development Goals.
The G20 pledged to take urgent actions to save lives, prevent hunger and malnutrition, and accelerate transformation toward sustainable and resilient agriculture and food systems and supply chains.
G20 leaders underlined the urgency of rapidly transforming and diversifying energy systems, and advancing energy security and resilience and market stability.
G20 leaders said international law and the multilateral system that safeguards peace and stability must be upheld. The peaceful resolution of conflicts like the current conflict in Ukraine, efforts to address crises, and diplomacy and dialogue are vital, they said.
