G7 pledge to share COVID-19 vaccines with poor countries
(VOVWORLD) - 100 former world leaders have written a letter to call on the Group of Seven (G7) rich nations to donate 66 billion USD to global COVID-19 vaccination in poor countries.

In response to their appeal ahead of a G7 summit in England which begins on Friday, G7 leaders pledged to share vaccines with poor countries. According to a joint statement announced by the UK, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the G7, the rich countries pledged to share 150 million doses of vaccines globally through COVAX facility.
