Ganh Da Dia recognised as unique national relic site

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has moved to recognise Ganh Da Dia, also known as the Reef of Plates, in the central coastal province of Phu Yen as unique national relic site.

Located approximately 30km from Tuy Hoa town, visitors are able to reach Ganh Da Dia by driving or riding. Featuring a rocky plate reef of 50 metres wide and over 200 metres long, Ganh Da Dia is a collection of many large rocks that evenly rise up in pentagonal shapes, with the site being formed by a volcanic eruption millions of years ago.

Most notably, 1998 saw Ganh Da Dia officially recognised as a national heritage site.

So far, Vietnam has boasted 119 historical relics regconised as national relic sites by the Prime Minister.
