(VOVWORLD) - Germany’s Junge Welt (Young World) newspaper has hailed Vietnam’s quick and drastic measures to fight the Covid-19 epidemic.

Author Stefan Kuhner said since Covid-19 broke out in China in December, the Vietnamese government has promptly responded to control the spread of the epidemic. Vietnam has closed schools and universities since the Lunar New Year holiday in late January.
The Military Medical University and Viet A Technologies company have successfully developed a Covid-19 test kit which meets WHO and US CDC standards. The kit costs from 17 to 26 USD, much lower than Germany’s test kit of 200 euros.
20 countries and territories have ordered to buy thousands of Vietnamese Covid-19 test kits, including Germany, Italy, and Turkey.
