Head of the agency, Hans-Georg Maassen, told Welt am Sonntag (Sunday Newspaper) on Sunday that the group wanted to carry out attacks against Germany and German interest but added that at the moment intelligence officials don't have any knowledge of any concrete terrorist attack plans by IS in Germany. He warned that the danger posed by militants returning from Syria to Germany remained "virulent".
