(VOVworld) – Germany’s Economy and Energy Minister Sigmar Gabriel arrived in Tehran on Sunday, becoming the first western leader to visit Iran since the historic nuclear deal was reached between Iran and the P5+1 group. During his 3-day visit, Minister Gabriel is scheduled to meet Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and several ministers to discuss the deal. Germany and Iran used to have close trade ties that were adversely affected by western sanctions on Iran.
