SPD set the conditions for upcoming negotiations with the alliance, including offers on economic and immigration issues. SPD opposed the coalition’s decision to delay family reunions for particular groups of refugees until March next year.
SPD leader Martin Schulz said negotiations with the CDU/CSU alliance will begin next month if its members agree at this week’s meeting.
