(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the monthly government meeting for April in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Mr. Phuc said the meeting has special significance because the government has been fine-tuned. He urged cabinet members to make an effort to complete planned missions. He said: “The government has to be transparent and honest, say no to corruption, and avoid waste. It must provide an example for society to follow. Cabinet members must begin by reviewing corruption and waste in government. We are forced to do those things to realize our promise.”

The Prime Minister called on cabinet members to improve people’s lives, seek ways to achieve the economic growth target of 6.7 percent, and keep inflation at or below 5 percent. He urged measures to resolve problems for businesses and uphold the law, particularly in administrative areas.
