(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has called for joint efforts of the Government, agencies and businesses in data mining, which he said data is an inexhaustible resource promoting creativity and human intelligence and a green resource that helps restore natural resources.

Deputy PM Ha addressed the Vietnam-Asia Digital Transformation Summit 2023 in Hanoi on Wednesday organized by the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA).
“We need to be frank and open to evaluate the Government's efforts and suggest what the Government needs to do in a faster, more timely and comprehensive way. Businesses will play a key role and make proposals. The Government should have a large center for research and technology transfer and businesses will contribute their achievements to help this center attract talents to research and invent tech products,” he said.
The two-day event is discussing driving economic growth enabled by digital data mining and smart connectivity, digital infrastructure, data connectivity and security, DX in Vietnam-Asia and cooperation opportunities, connecting and sharing data to develop Digital Government Building a digital financial platform - Digital banking, Data infrastructure and economic linkages.
Vietnam was ranked 86th out of 193 countries and territories in the UN’s E-Government Development Index 2022. Its Online Service Index ranked 76, higher than the world’s average.
