(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a Government meeting on Thursday to launch coming tasks. This is the first Government meeting since new Cabinet members were elected at the 11th session of the 14th National Assembly earlier this month.

In his address, Prime Minister Chinh urged each cabinet member to promote high determination, exert efforts, and take resolute actions toward set targets amid difficulties inside and outside the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said the government will strengthen power delegation and fine-tune policies, strategies, and plans.
"It’s necessary to maintain peace and stability and strengthen international integration to grow. We need to promote national unity, persistently pursue the goal of controlling inflation, maintaining macro-economic stability, and effectively use all possible resources for development," said PM Chinh.
The Prime Minister asked ministries, sectors, and localities to accelerate public investment disbursement as scheduled. The Ministry of Health needs to finalize the plan on implementing a “vaccine passport”. He also stressed the importance of preparations for the upcoming elections, and ensuring political stability, law, and social order.
