Prime Minister Chinh said that since the beginning of this year, the government has held 5 meetings on lawmaking at which 26 proposals to develop laws, resolutions, and draft laws were discussed and approved. The Prime Minister said special attention should be paid to the quality of legislative documents.

“We need to invest resources in institution building and prioritize policies to facilitate the work of anyone participating in law making. It’s essential to encourage innovation and initiative in the law-making process,” said Prime Minister Chinh.

He said the Government needs to carefully discuss the North-South high-speed railway project in order to realize its development orientation for Vietnam's railway system until 2030 with a vision to 2045.
