Government, NA leaders welcome senior Czech lawmaker
(VOVWORLD) -The Czech Republic supports Vietnam’s bid for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council in the 2020-2021 tenure as well as the signing of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, according to Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
Meeting with Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan in Hanoi on Tuesday, Mr. Vojtech Filip said his country wants to cooperate with Vietnam in automobile manufacturing and healthcare. Chairwoman Ngan said Vietnam aims to foster relations with traditional friends in central and eastern Europe including the Czech Republic.

At a reception for the Czech lawmaker the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said Vietnam will create favorable conditions for cooperative projects with the Czech Republic, including in aviation. He also hailed partnership with the country in auto manufacturing, adding that Vietnam is ready to help the Czech Republic reinforce ties with ASEAN.
