Government’s nine groups of solution for socio-economic development in 2013

(VGP)- The Government recently issued a resolution defining ways to realize the socio-economic development and budget estimate plan for 2013. The resolution asks  ministries, agencies, and people’s committees to focus on the following nine groups of solutions: strengthening macroeconomic stability and reining in inflation; overcoming difficulties to boost production and business; creating strategic breakthroughs in economic restructuring and changing the model of growth; guaranteeing social security and welfare and improving people’s living standards; developing education, science and technology and public health;  strengthening state management of land, resources, environmental protection, disaster prevention and coping with climate change; speeding up administrative reforms, highlighting the people’s mastery, fighting corruption and waste, and maintaining social order and safety; guaranteeing national defense and security, socio-political stability, and diplomacy and mobilizing  social consensus.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment will collect and evaluate the results of this resolution of each ministry, department, and locality and report the results at the Government’s regular meeting in December 2013.
