Chinh said that, thanks to strong action by the entire political system, the economy improved in the first quarter. Performance was better last month than in January or February, and better in the first quarter than in the same period last year in most areas.
GDP grew 5.66% from January to March, the fastest first quarter growth since 2020.
According to PM Chinh, the macroeconomy is stable, inflation is under control, economic growth is strong, and major balances of the economy are steady.
In addition, defense-security is solid, political stability and social order and safety are protected, and people’s quality of life has improved.
But there remain challenges, Mr Chinh said. He asked officials to devise tasks and measures for April, Q2, and the coming year.
