Hundreds of refugees who have arrived in Greece’s Lesbos and Chios ports will be returned to Turkey. Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala said his country was ready to receive 500 people on Monday and that Greek authorities had provided 400 names, although these numbers could change. According to the deal, illegal refugees to the EU will be sent back to Turkey. Around 175 first refugees are expected to be sent back from Greece’s island of Lesbos, while Germany, France, the Netherlands, Finland and Portugal will be among the first EU countries to receive refugees from Turkey.
