(VOVWORLD) - The Mong Panpipe Festival and Culinary Festival of northern-central-southern regions opened in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang on Saturday.
This is the first time the two festivals have been combined to give people of Vietnam’s northernmost province the chance to enjoy the cultures of all the nation’s 3 regions.
Visitors will experience and immerse themselves in the cultural space of ethnic groups, witness the making of panpipe, enjoy panpipe performances, cook dishes, taste the specialties of local people, and join the Gau Tao festival.
The organizer will also introduce 50 dishes made from buckwheat.
Within the framework of the festival, visitors can experience folk games in the centre of Ha Giang City and the districts of the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark.
