(VOVWORLD) - Hai Duong Field Hospital 1, which was set up at Chi Linh city’s Medical Center nearly a month ago, was disbanded on Sunday, a mark of Hai Duong province’s success in the fight against COVID-19.

Chi Linh city, about 60km east of Hanoi, was the epicenter of last month’s outbreak of COVID-19. It has already returned to normal.
Since it was established on February 2, Hospital has received 300 COVID-19 patients, 250 of them have completely recovered. The other 50 have been transferred to Hai Duong Field Hospital 3, also in Chi Linh city.
Doctor Hoang Ngoc Lan, Director of Chi Linh City Medical Center, said the temporary hospital has completed its mission.
“In the battle against COVID-19, we have won. The patients have recovered, and nobody died. The epidemic has been stamped out. No new cases have been reported and none of the medical staff got infected,” said Lan, adding, “We would like to extend our gratitude to all the people, sponsors, businesses, and units who helped us win this battle.”
