Half of EU population against euro
51% of the European Union citizens and 62% of those living in the Eurozone are in favor of the euro, their common currency. The figures were released Tuesday by the Eurobarometer Public Opinion Survey.

The results came in the 2013 European Year of Citizens – a year dedicated to improving awareness about the rights of European citizens. 60% of respondents agreed that free movement of people, goods and services is the EU's most positive achievement.
