Three men and a woman detained in the Gaza Strip after the outbreak of the conflict between the Islamic Movement Hamas and Israel last October were taken to the hospital. The hostage rescue came as Israeli military said it was "targeting terrorist infrastructure" in the area of Nuseirat in central Gaza.
On the same day, health authorities in the Gaza Strip announced that dozens of people were killed and injured due to military operations and added that medical forces were trying to treat injured people who were transferred to Al-Aqsa hospital.
The US and mediators including Egypt and Qatar are pushing diplomatic efforts to get Hamas and Israel forces to agree to the ceasefire agreement recently proposed by US President Joe Biden. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit the Middle East from next week to discuss with Arab partners the ceasefire plan.
