(VOVWORLD) - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Turkey on Friday, ahead of a week-long tour of the Middle East.

This is Blinken's fourth Middle East visit since the conflict between Israel and Hamas broke out last October. On Saturday, Blinken met with meet Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul to discuss the Gaza situation.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will travel to Israel Sunday for her fourth visit since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict, a ministry spokesman said. Baerbock will hold talks with Israel's new Foreign Minister Israel Katz and President Isaac Herzog. She will also meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmud Abbas and foreign minister Riyad al-Maliki.
