(VOVworld) -  The Hanoi Book Fair 2016 opened at the Thang Long Heritage Preservation Centre on Thursday, marking 20 years since Vietnam joined ASEAN.

Themed ‘Books and Integration’, the fair comprises 170 booths featuring 46 domestic and 20 foreign publishers. Their range of books in various genres includes children’s books, literature, economy, science, books in foreign languages and e-books.

Books on display feature the relationship between Hanoi and ASEAN and Vietnam’s Sea and Islands.

Hoang Van Chung from Thang Long Book Company said: “This year’s book fair offers a good venue for both domestic and foreign publishing houses to exchange experiences. It’s also an opportunity to promote the quality and value of Vietnam’s books and publications to the world.”

The fair will run through next Monday to celebrate the 62nd Liberation Day of Hanoi on October 10.
