(VOVworld) – A range of activities are being held in Hanoi to mark the city’s 60th Liberation Day. A book fair opened at the Vietnam Women’s Museum on Wednesday showcasing 15,000 books across a range of categories.
The fair includes exchanges with authors and translators and life skills education for youngsters. Khuc Thi Hoa Phuong, Editor-in-chief of the Women Publishing House, said: “The book fair is held every 3 years, attracting more than 10,000 readers. Readers are of different ages and I think they have a great passion for reading.”
A long dress fashion show will be held at the Temple of Literature on October 10 introducing 250 dresses from 15 collections by famous Vietnamese designers. Approximately 60 artisans from 20 traditional craft villages will also participate in the event.
An art program will take place at Ly Thai To square on October 12 on the theme of equality in the community, urban development, preserving the living environment, and boosting cultural and education development.
