The 84 top graduates include 40 members of the Communist Party of Vietnam and 24 are cadres of the Vietnam Youth Union and Student Associations. Many were role models in overcoming difficulties to achieve excellent academic results, or students with outstanding research projects and practical solutions that won national and international awards. 2017 is the 15th consecutive year Hanoi has honored local university graduates.
