(VOVworld) – Hanoians and visitors will be treated to a variety of colorful entertaining programs during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday (Tet). On Friday, there will be 6 special art and sport shows  on  New Year’s eve at Ly Thai To monument, August revolution square, Tay Ho district center, My Dinh stadium square, Ha Dong district center, and Son Tay township.

Firework displays will be replaced by firework screening on LED panels during New Year celebrations 2017

To Van Dong, Director of Hanoi’s Department of Culture and Sports, said: “We will organize many activities for Tet celebrations, such as outdoor performances and film screening in 30 districts and wards. There are community-based art and sport events for everybody to join in.”

This year, instead of real fireworks display, there will be the 5-minute screening of fireworks on LED panels near the performance sites.
