Hanoi launches Humanitarian Month
(VOVWORLD) -The Red Cross Society of Hanoi and the People's Committee of Ung Hoa district on Tuesday held a ceremony to launch this year's Humanitarian Month, with the theme "Humanitarian journey – giving and receiving love".

Following the ceremony, an electric car worth approximately 10,000 USD was given to Van Dinh General Hospital to be used for patient transportation.
To celebrate Humanitarian Month in May, the Hanoi Red Cross Society has given savings books worth about 200 USD each to 10 policy families and people with meritorious service, and bicycles to 20 students in difficult circumstances in Ung Hoa district.
Previously, "Million Steps of Kindness”, a community fundraising media campaign initiated and implemented by the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Hanoi Red Cross Society, mobilized 9,000 people to walk a total of 203,000 kilometers, surpassing the campaign’s target. More than 11,000 USD worth of gifts were given to students, policy families, and people with meritorious service in Muong Ang district, Dien Bien province. And a new boarding kitchen worth 6,000 USD was built at a very disadvantaged preschool in Hoa Binh province.
