(VOVWORLD) - In response to the Government’s decision to reopen all tourism activities beginning March 15, Hanoi’s tourism sector has outlined a plan to restore and develop its tourism while adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under the plan, Hanoi will ensure health safety at tourist sites and tourism service business establishments, build a variety of unique and attractive new tourism products, and create new models of rural and agricultural tourism development.
Advertising and promotion activities will be strengthened to attract domestic and foreign tourists, digital transformation will be accelerated, and support will be given to enterprises to develop the human resources needed to revive tourism activities and welcome foreign tourists.
Dang Huong Giang, Director of Hanoi’s Department of Tourism, said the Department will work with airlines and other organizations and businesses in travel, accommodation, and destinations to advertise Vietnamese tourism on mass media at home and abroad.
This year, Hanoi plans to host several national events, including the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival, a gastronomy festival, and SEA Games 31.
