(VOVWORLD) - Hanoi received 105,000 visitors during the seven days of the Lunar New Year, from January 31 to February 6, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

The department said the figure is meaningful given the raging COVID-19 pandemic and bodes well for tourism recovery and development.
Relic sites and cultural attractions in the capital remain closed for pandemic prevention and control and spring festivals were cancelled. Only museums and parks open to tourists, who are mainly local residents and visitors from neighboring provinces.
