(VOVWORLD) - Statistics from OAG, an air travel data provider, show the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route sold more than 8.5 million seats from October 2021 to the end of September 2022.

The Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route ranks behind Jeju – Seoul (South Korea), Sapporo New Chitose Apt – Tokyo, and Fukuoka – Tokyo (Japan).
This is the first time since the COVID-19 epidemic broke out, the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route is listed in the top 4 busiest domestic routes in the world. In 2019, it was in the world’s top 6.
Data from the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority shows that in nine months of this year, the number of inbound/outbound flights was 351,000, up 117.8% over the same period last year while transit flights were 127,000, up 59% over the same period last year.
