HCM City seeks to facilitate goods transportation from other provinces
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade has called for close cooperation between provinces, cities, and localities to ensure a sufficient essential goods supply for Ho Chi Minh city and other localities in the south which are being hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry instructed road management agencies to facilitate the smooth circulation of goods to Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas, and asked that safe essential goods supply points be set up, since many wholesale markets, traditional markets and supermarkets have been closed to slow the pandemic.
At a press conference Thursday on implementing the Prime Minister’s Directive 16 on social distancing in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee, said take-away services are now banned while cargo transportation is allowed. The City’s Department of Industry and Trade plans to issue shopping vouchers.
