HCM City wants to cooperate with Cuba in health care
(VOVWORLD) -Ho Chi Minh City is keen to implement health care cooperation programs with Cuba, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem said at a reception for visiting Cuban Deputy Minister of Health Marcia Cobas Riuz on Thursday.

He said HCM City wants to carry out the Cuban doctors program in the city and collaborate in the distribution of pharmaceutical products and human resources training. The city is willing to work with Cuba to implement a plan on primary dental care, he added.
The Cuban Deputy Minister said her ongoing visit aims to increase the efficiency of cooperation in medical care between Vietnam and Cuba in general and between Cuba and Vietnamese localities in particular. She said Cuba hopes HCM City authorities will facilitate the bilateral health cooperation and are ready to collaborate with HCM City in the provision of Cuban doctors for hospitals, the distribution of pharmaceutical products, and training connectivity between universities.
