HCMC eases social distancing
(VOVWORLD) - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai on Friday signed and promulgated Directive 18 on adjusting COVID-19 prevention and control measures and gradually recovering socio-economic development in the city.

Under the Directive, the city will maintain control and preventive measures to fight COVID-19 across the city with priority given to protecting citizens’ health and life, and mitigating the numbers of hospitalized people and fatality rate while strengthening the local healthcare system, especially at the grassroots level. With this Directive, the city is expected to gradually restore production and service activities in a safe, flexible and effective manner to ensure people’s daily activities in the “new normal”.
The Directive stresses the importance of applying information technology in fighting COVID-19 while boosting administrative reform to create favorable conditions for people and businesses.
