Health experts dispatched to COVID-19 infected area
(VOVWORLD) - Dien Bien has become Vietnam’s 11th province infected with COVID-19 as the province on Friday reported two more cases related to Hai Duong, Vietnam’s biggest epidemic hotspot, said Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long.

During an online briefing with provinces and cities on COVID-19 prevention and control, Minister Long asked Dien Bien to continue contract tracing, testing, and self-quarantine.
He requested the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and Bach Mai Hospital to immediately send staff to Dien Bien to help with testing and treatment.
Vietnam has confirmed an additional 19 coronavirus cases on Friday evening, while the virus has attacked Ha Giang, the 12th affected locality in the country, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
Vietnam has recorded 394 locally transmitted cases since the virus recurred in the northern provinces of Hai Duong and Quang Ninh in late January.
Vietnam so far has had a total of 1,976 COVID-19 patients, of whom 1,465 people have been cured, 35 people died.
