In Ho Chi Minh City, where the number of COVID-19 infections is growing, all exam locations have been disinfected. All examinees and examiners must show a test result indicating they are COVID-19 negative. Medical rooms, isolation rooms, and back-up examination rooms have been arranged.
Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Director of the Ho Chi Minh municipal Department of Education and Training, said, "Examination sites have been disinfected multiple times. Wearing a mask is a must. Students are sent to their assigned room immediately upon arrival. No gatherings are allowed. We are doing everything we can in accordance with health regulations to keep our students safe."
Students all over Vietnam came to their test site on Tuesday to complete intake procedures. 14,000 students were unable to show up because of COVID, mostly in An Giang, Binh Dinh, and Hung Yen.
High school students must take four tests in mathematics, literature, a foreign language, and one test in natural science or social science of their choice.
