Under the project, rural roads connecting raw material growing areas and coffee warehouses and coffee display areas will be built.
The 3.3 million USD project aims to form a centralized and modern raw material production area by applying advanced technology to sustainable links between cooperatives and processors and export businesses.
Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that the project is to build a standard coffee material area on 19,700 ha in Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Kon Tum, and Dak Nong province to benefit 64 cooperatives with 5,230 households.
“The Ministry has determined that the construction of a qualified raw material area is one of the most essential and basic steps to promote the development of coffee products, brand, quality, and added value in the future to ensure requirements in domestic consumption and export,” said Nam.
